Where’s the rubber?

Measure H projected to pass

Healdsburg’s Measure H, a measure that seeks to alter some of the language in the city’s Growth Management Ordinance (GMO) to allow for the sale in addition to the rental of a number of income-restricted units, projected to pass Tuesday night with 65.60% of the “yes” votes and 34.40% of the “no” votes according to the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters.

As the first cannabis dispensary opened in Healdsburg, more than one customer observed he was cutting down on VMT (Vehicle Miles Traveled), a key metric in the city’s goal of reducing greenhouse gasses. The next nearest dispensary is 10 miles away in Larkfield, and beyond that twice that far to Cloverdale...

Geyserville students make lunch for day laborers (Slideshow)

Students from the MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlán, or Chicanx Student Movement of Aztlán) Club at Geyserville New Tech Academy got together on Saturday, April 1, in honor of César Chávez to make tortas (sandwiches) for farm workers and day laborers.

Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival launches online program

The Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival, which had to cancel its annual week-long festival in March because of the pandemic, will be offering documentary shorts and filmed conversations with directors online starting this week.

WSCUHSD surveys parents, students and staff on potential consolidation

Superintendent Toni Beal presented the results of a survey of the west county scholastic community on the potential consolidation of Analy, El Molino and Laguna high schools at the West Sonoma County Union High School District’s Nov. 18 board meeting.
