Healdsburg’s newest police lieutenant, Matt Jenkins, 31, was promoted in early December. Jenkins was raised up from patrol sergeant after serving with the Healdsburg Police Department as an officer since May 2003. He celebrated his 10th anniversary on the force just last week.

Given all the angst and opinion voiced in previous public hearings (and social media) about the city’s transition to District Elections, Monday nights’ meeting took place in a desert. Fewer than half a dozen members of the public were in the room when the hearing, fourth in a series of five, got underway at the posted “time certain” 6:45pm on March 17. But the meeting set forth the future of Healdsburg district elections for years to come.
Healdsburg council to consider urban water management plan and application for Project Homekey
The Healdsburg City Council will consider adopting the Healdsburg 2020 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) along with an update to the city’s water shortage contingency plan at its next council meeting on Oct. 18. The council will also consider adopting a resolution to submit a joint application for Project Homekey.
