The No. 12 seeded Greyhounds soccer team saw their rebuilding season come to an end in the first round of the North Coast Section Division 4 playoffs, coming out on the short end of a 3-1 result at No. 5 seeded Branson.

The Greyhounds were represented by a three-man contingent at the North Coast Section (NCS) Wrestling Championships in Union City on Feb. 18-19, the final qualifier for the CIF State tournament.

It will be David versus Goliath when the No. 16 seeded Cloverdale Lady Eagles visit top seeded juggernaut Marin Catholic when the teams meet on Feb. 16 (after press time) in the opening round of the North Coast Section basketball playoffs.

Cloverdale will host No. 8 St. Vincent in quarterfinals on Feb. 18

The varsity basketball Greyhounds have extended their season for at least another week, landing the 11th seed in this week’s North Coast Section Division 4 tournament.

The Lady Greyhounds will represent the No. 11 seed in the North Coast Section Division 4 tournament, opening up at No. 6 Terra Linda on Wednesday, Feb. 16 (after press time) at 7 p.m.

The exciting final phase of the winter wrestling campaign will continue for three members of the Healdsburg High School team after a great showing at the North Bay League (NBL) Championships.

They say that all good things must eventually come to an end. That was the sentiment on Feb. 4 when the Eagles saw their remarkable 20-game win streak snapped by visiting Middletown in a 55-53 heartbreaker.  

The Lady Greyhounds made short work of three overmatched opponents in recent North Bay League varsity basketball action, posting routs over Santa Rosa, Elsie Allen and St. Vincent.

The varsity basketball Greyhounds will be gunning for a strong finish to the North Bay League campaign this week, hoping to extend their season for as long as possible.
