The Healdsburg City Council will be considering water and wastewater rate increases and, among other topics, the approval of an ordinance approving a military equipment use policy for police services at its next meeting on Monday, April 18.

Healdsburg police looking into reports of drugging at downtown bar

The Healdsburg Police Department is investigating around seven reports — two of which were received on April 7 — of alleged drugging incidents in Healdsburg, some of which may go back to November 2021. In each case, the reporting party reported that they believed their drink was spiked with drugs while at Duke’s Spirited Cocktails. As of April 11, Healdsburg Police Sgt. John Haviland said that there is currently no proof that any of the reported incidents have taken place at Duke’s. 

Cloverdale council holding public hearing for code enforcement procedures

The Cloverdale City Council is tackling no new business items and only one public hearing item — having to do with code enforcement — at its meeting on April 13. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and will be held both online via Zoom and in-person at the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel.

Deadline nearing for Citrus Fair exhibit, contest entries

Entry forms to exhibit at this year's Cloverdale Citrus Fair are due by Friday, and there's still time to enter the parade, diaper derby, talent show, and the Lily Lemon/Oran Orange contests, according to the fair. After being postponed from its regular weekend, this year's Cloverdale Citrus Fair is April 21-24.
