Sebastopol police investigating Safeway parking lot shooting that left one injured

The Sebastopol Police Department is searching for a suspect still at large who was involved in a shooting that injured one person this morning at the Safeway parking lot in Sebastopol.

Sebastopol fire and police departments respond to storm impacts on city

Sebastopol was not Sonoma County’s hardest hit by the major storm over the weekend, but Sebastopol Fire Chief Bill Braga said his department fielded over a dozen 911 calls for downed trees and powerlines and other weather-related emergencies during the weather events.

District plans to spend emergency relief funds on additional staff and support services

The Healdsburg Unified School District (HUSD) is receiving $1,697,674 in funding from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III fund and plans to use the funding to provide additional staff and support services such as social-emotional curriculum.

Cloverdale’s City Park closed until Wednesday

According to Cloverdale Mayor Marta Cruz, the Cloverdale City Park will be closed for the next two days, reopening on Wednesday, due to the weekend’s heavy rain.

Healdsburg council approves 2020 Urban Water Management Plan

At its most recent meeting, the Healdsburg City Council unanimously approved the city’s 2020 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP), which includes a water shortage contingency plan to address dry years and a recommendation to later update the city’s three stage water shortage ordinance to a six-stage plan that would include restrictions on the issuance of temporary or final occupancy for new development within Healdsburg.

Healdsburg native John Biasotti was known to many as an outgoing and friendly man who worked hard at his grocery store, Biasotti’s Market.
